Email Design Tip #1: Substance Over Style(sheets)

Most email client software will strip out any CSS from an email – this is especially the case if it is outside the ‘BODY’ tags. If you must use CSS, the best way is to use ‘inline CSS’ – which is used inside each individual tag.

When designing your creative, always think what it would look like with all the CSS removed.

By far the best way to format an HTML email is to avoid CSS altogether and use traditional ‘TABLE’ and ‘FONT’ tags instead.
