UK B2B data providers compared (updated quarterly)

Fifteen UK providers, compared on what you can check before you pay: published prices, free counts, an API and the compliance evidence each one shows.

Short answer

We compared 15 UK B2B data providers using each vendor's own site on 26 September 2026. By type, the owners that compile their own records are Data HQ, Market Location and Corpdata. Of the 15, 4 publish a price: Buy UK Data (from 8p a contact), Data HQ (£180 to £380 per 1,000), RD Marketing (£295 to £170 per 1,000 by volume) and Endole (£25 to £39 a month). A further 4 publish a starting or package price, and 7 sell by quote.

None combines live public counts, published prices, an API and an MCP server. MyDataHub by Emailmovers, our own product, does: 1.6 million named UK business contacts, counts free without an account, and credits at 25p a record falling to 17p from 50,000, or £1,249 once for 40,000, ex VAT.

Which UK B2B data providers do we compare?

We looked at 19 vendors visible in UK search results for this topic. Fifteen sell UK business contact or company data, and those are compared here. We sell a competing product, so every cell comes from the vendor's own page and is dated.

Four are not compared as list providers. Red Flag Alert sells risk and compliance data, Kaspr is a browser extension and Leadfeeder (Dealfront) identifies website visitors and sells a database. Cognism is a global sales intelligence platform. Kaspr and Cognism appear in the global section below.

Prices are as published, ex VAT where stated, and a price marked third party comes from a teardown, not the vendor. Where a vendor does not say, the cell says so. If a cell is wrong, suggest a correction, and we will check the vendor's page and log the change.

How did we read each page?

Every cell comes from the vendor's own public site, read on 26 September 2026, and we link every vendor in the table so you can check it. A cell therefore reflects what a visitor can see without paying.

A vendor may have changed its page since. Prices are quoted as published, and where a vendor does not state a fact we say so instead of guessing.

How do the 15 providers compare?

The table runs in the order we read them. Our own row is last, for reference, and it describes MyDataHub as it will launch.

Compliance depth is our reading of each vendor's page: low means a badge or nothing, medium means an ICO number plus a policy, and high means ISO 27001, ISO 27701 or similar.

Who publishes a price?

A price is the first thing a buyer asks for. 4 of the 15 publish one, 4 publish a start-from or package price, and 7 sell by quote only.

The 8 providers that show a price

Published prices use different units, so it helps to convert them to pence per record. The table does that for every price we could convert, and it says what a record is in each case.

Published prices converted to pence per record, read 26 September 2026
ProviderPublished pricePence per recordWhat a record is

A low number is not always a low price. Endole's roughly 2p buys a company or director row, which is not a validated contact, and Buy UK Data's 8p is a starting point.

The quote-only group is Databroker, Prospect360, B2B Data UK, Integra, Market Location, Corpdata, Beauhurst. A published price lets you compare like for like, and a quote means you must book a conversation before you learn the cost.

Two prices need care. Buy UK Data's "from 8p" is a starting point, with worked examples of 16p to 30p. UK Marketing Management's £20 per 1,000 applies to consumer data only.

What can you check before you buy?

A count is the most useful free thing a data supplier can show, because it tells you whether the audience exists. Among the 15, Selectabase shows counts free after registration, Endole behind a login and Market Location to subscribers only. RD Marketing gives a count and sample on request, and Data HQ shows estimated counts.

MyDataHub shows a count with no account, including the companies behind it, a breakdown and a masked sample. Counts for anonymous visitors are rounded to the nearest 5, and a paid plan shows exact counts.

On APIs, 2 of the 15 state that they offer one: Endole and Beauhurst. DataGardener offers one as an add-on, Market Location's is not public and Data HQ has an integration product with no public API.

None of the 15 offers live public counts, published prices, an API and an MCP server together. MyDataHub's server at mydatahub.emailmovers.com/mcp has 22 tools, and an agent can count and quote without an account. The agent guide explains how spending is controlled.

How do you test a sample from any provider?

Ask for about 10 records, as our own hand-validated sample does, and check them yourself. Look each person up against the company's own website, run the addresses through your own verifier and read the subscriber class and phone screening status on every row. A provider that cannot supply those fields is asking you to take the file on trust.

What do the size claims actually count?

Providers quote their size in different units, so the biggest number is not the biggest list. Only a few state how many emails they hold, and the email count is the one that decides how many people you can write to.

Size claims and their units, read 26 September 2026

MyDataHub 1,594,395 named emails at 491,205 companies Named business emails at active companies Yes

Of the 15, only Data HQ (1.5 million emails) and DataGardener (2.05 million emails) state an email count. The rest give contacts, records, businesses, companies or profiles, which may or may not have an email behind them.

How do owners, brokers and resellers differ?

The type column matters because it hints at who compiled the data. The ICO's first due diligence question is who compiled it, and a broker may need to ask its sources.

  • Owner: compiles its own records. We read Data HQ, Market Location, Marketscan, Corpdata and MyDataHub this way.
  • Broker: sells data it did not necessarily compile itself. Buy UK Data, Databroker, Prospect360, B2B Data UK, RD Marketing and UK Marketing Management are in this group.
  • Reseller: sells another company's data under its own name. Selectabase resells Experian data.
  • Company intelligence: sells company-level data and profiles. Endole, DataGardener and Beauhurst are here.

How do we judge compliance depth?

We grade what the vendor's page shows, not what the vendor does. Low means a badge or nothing. Medium means an ICO number plus a policy. High means an independent standard such as ISO 27701 or ISO 27001.

Market Location shows ISO 27701 and 27001, and DataGardener shows ISO and B Corp status. Databroker shows DMA, Feefo and an ICO number, and Corpdata says it supplies legitimate interests assessments.

MyDataHub's evidence is different in kind. Emailmovers Ltd is registered with the ICO (Z9714386), and each record carries its lawful basis, subscriber class, Article 14 status and TPS and CTPS status. We trail the global tools on certifications: Cyber Essentials is planned for October 2026 and ISO 27001 for the fourth quarter of 2027, and we claim nothing until its register entry exists. The trust page shows the status of each.

How do the global tools compare?

Apollo, ZoomInfo, Lusha and Cognism sell 240 million to 500 million global contacts, with the UK as one market among many. They are priced for sales teams in dollars, per seat. Kaspr, a fifth tool, is priced per user in pounds.

Kaspr, a LinkedIn browser extension owned by Cognism, is priced per user in GBP: Starter £39 per user per month on annual terms (£51 monthly) and Business £69. Its Trustpilot score is 1.5 from 88 reviews, read on 26 September 2026. Reported figures come from third-party teardowns. Trustpilot scores are from 26 September 2026 and move over time.

UK brokers that publish a price charge about 8p to 40p a record, and global tools about $0.18 to $3 for a full record (read 26 September 2026).

On residency, Apollo and ZoomInfo process data in the United States, and Apollo does so under the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework. Lusha and Cognism do not state UK residency on the pages we read. MyDataHub stores data in the UK and verifies emails in the EU and phone numbers in the US, with named sub-processors listed on our sub-processors page.

What has changed in the UK market?

Three incumbents have changed hands or been retired while their pages still rank. Marketscan entered administration on 1 July 2025 and was bought by Acquirz. Dealfront now redirects to Leadfeeder, and Experian's B2B Prospector was retired in March 2023, with Selectabase reselling its data.

Selectabase offered to match former Marketscan customers' rates, so many of those buyers have been shopping since mid 2025. If you are one, rerun your last audience as a free count here and compare the numbers before you decide.

How do you choose a provider?

Start with what you need to do, then check the evidence. These five tests work on any provider in the table.

  1. Can you see a price? If not, ask for a per-record price in writing before a demo.
  2. Can you see a count and a sample? A supplier that cannot is asking you to trust a total.
  3. Who compiled the data? An owner can answer, and a broker may need to ask its sources.
  4. What is the warranty? Get the bounce policy, the threshold and the process in writing.
  5. What are the exit terms? Check notice periods, renewal uplifts and what happens to unused credits.

If you need company financials or risk data, a company intelligence product may fit better than a contact list. If you need global reach, the global tools are built for it. If you need UK named contacts at a published price you can verify before you pay, that is the gap MyDataHub is built to fill.

Where does MyDataHub fit?

MyDataHub is UK only, owned by Emailmovers and priced per record with no seats. We win on commercial terms and UK depth at SME level, not on global breadth.

We leave dialers, sequencers and mailbox marketplaces to others, and we hand records to Deliverite, HubSpot, Salesforce or a CSV. We do not sell intent, technographic or LinkedIn-derived data, and we do not offer seats or enterprise quotes.

Emailmovers' Trustpilot score is 4.7 from 127 reviews (26 September 2026), which is a score for the company, not for this product. We show no review score for MyDataHub itself, because we publish one only after 20 genuine reviews appear on the page.

Which provider suits which job?

The right choice depends on the job. These pairings follow the facts in the table, and none is a recommendation of a specific supplier.

Matching the job to the kind of provider
The jobWhat to look for
A first list for one campaignA published price per record, a free count and a sample, and no minimum term. Check the warranty.
An agency running lists for clientsPer-client suppression, an overlap check against what the client already holds, and a warranty you can pass on.
A sales team feeding a CRMCRM push keyed on a record id, no per-seat fees and a way to order only records that are new to you.
A developer or data teamAn API with published limits, credit costs on every operation and a free tier you can test without a sales call.
A public sector or regulated buyerUK-only verification options, a published sub-processor list and a due diligence file you can attach to a procurement record.
Company risk or financial researchA company intelligence product, which sells company-level data rather than a contact list.

What should you ask a provider on a call?

If a provider insists on a call, use it. Ten questions turn a sales conversation into evidence, and each maps to a check in the ICO's guidance or to a term that tops buyers' complaints.

Ten questions and what a good answer sounds like
QuestionA good answer
What is the price per record, all in?A figure in GBP that includes phone and postal fields, with VAT stated separately.
How many of the records have a named email?A number, with the date it was counted, not a total of records.
Who compiled the data? The supplier names its own research, or names its sources.
When was each record last verified?A date per record, not "regularly".
How do you treat sole traders? They are excluded from email by default, because they are individual subscribers.
When were the numbers screened against TPS and CTPS?A status on each number: not screened, or a screen date no older than 28 days.
What happens when emails bounce?A written replacement policy with a threshold and a process.
What do I get to prove the data was lawfully obtained?A receipt or file that answers the ICO's due diligence areas.
How do I cancel? The notice period and renewal date, in writing, before you buy.
Do credits or records expire? The licence term is stated, and prepaid credits are not lost on cancellation.

How does this page stay current?

We re-read every vendor's pages each quarter and change any cell that has moved. Every figure here carries the date we read it, and a cell we cannot confirm says so. The next review is due in January 2027.

How do you suggest a correction?

Every cell comes from a vendor's own page, so a cell is wrong only if the page says something else or has changed. Tell us which cell and where the vendor's page says otherwise. Call us on 01723 800030. We check the page, correct the cell and add a line to the log below with the date.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK B2B data provider is best?

It depends on the job, and we do not rank providers. To buy records from an owner of the data, look at Data HQ, Market Location and Corpdata. For a published price, look at Buy UK Data (from 8p a contact), Data HQ (£180 to £380 per 1,000), RD Marketing (£295 to £170 per 1,000 by volume) and Endole (£25 to £39 a month). For company risk or financial research, a company intelligence product such as DataGardener, Beauhurst or Endole fits better. For global reach, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Lusha and Cognism are built for it.

How much does UK B2B data cost?

UK brokers that publish a price charge about 8p to 40p a record, and global tools about $0.18 to $3 for a full record (read 26 September 2026). On MyDataHub one credit buys one record: 25p a record up to 9,999 records, 22p from 10,000, 19.5p from 25,000 and 17p from 50,000, with no minimum order, or £1,249 once for a credit pack of 40,000 credits (3.1p a credit), and a quote leads with the cheapest purchase.

Is it legal to buy B2B data from a UK provider?

Yes, when you can lawfully contact the people on it. PECR regulation 22 asks for consent only for email to individual subscribers, and UK GDPR still applies to named work emails. The ICO says a supplier's assurances are not enough, so ask for evidence. Our guide explains.

How accurate are UK B2B data providers?

Few publish a measured figure, and a headline accuracy claim without an audit behind it is a warning sign. Ask for the verification date of each record, the bounce policy in writing and what the supplier does when addresses fail.

Which industries and roles do providers cover?

Most cover all industries but differ in depth by company size and role. A free count shows the real number for your brief. MyDataHub counts by SIC section, 13 job levels and place without an account.

How many UK businesses do these providers hold?

Size claims range from 1.48 million B2B contacts to 17 million companies, and they measure different things: contacts, emails, companies or profiles. MyDataHub holds 1,594,395 named business emails at 491,205 active UK companies (as of 28 September 2026).

Do I need consent before emailing data I buy?

Not for corporate subscribers under PECR, but you need a lawful basis under UK GDPR, a clear opt-out and the notice wording that tells people where you obtained their details. Sole traders and ordinary partnerships need consent for email.
