About this audience

Two groups lead by county or borough: West Yorkshire at 35 percent and South Yorkshire at 26 percent. By company type, Royal charter company holds 77 percent of contacts (1,565), well ahead of Private company limited by guarantee (Limited exemption) at 15 percent. Royal charter company is over-represented: 77 percent here against 3.1 percent across the database. By company size, the 5,000 to 9,999 employee band holds 52 percent of contacts (1,065), well ahead of the 1,500 to 4,999 employee band at 25 percent. The 5,000 to 9,999 employee band is over-represented: 52 percent here against 5.3 percent across the database. The three largest are West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and York, together 88 percent of contacts.

This count combines two filters. The job role filter maps written titles to one role through the Emailmovers title dictionary, so variants of a title count together. The region filter comes from the ONS Postcode Directory. It covers named business emails at active UK companies. Individual subscribers, meaning sole traders and ordinary partnerships, are excluded by default. Emailmovers relies on legitimate interests under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) for named business contacts.
